*Please note, this is a PDF pattern suitable to be printed at home or printshop and not a physical pattern*

The Riviera pattern offers both a wide leg trouser and shorts option. The style features tucks the entire length of the leg, side seam pockets (although you could opt for no pockets like my chocolate brown pair to get a nice smooth finish on the side seam) and an extra wide waistband with the option to add a belt and belt loops (if you wish). I have limited space to add photos on the website, so please check out @nhpatterns on Instagram to see a story highlight filled with tester photos in all different sizes or check out the hashtag #nhriviera

Sizing:

This pattern comes in two size options. Size UK 4-18 (roughly US 0-14) and size UK 16-32 (roughly US 12-28). The crossover sizes in this pattern are very similar. The main difference between the size sets is the rise is an inch longer on the 16-32 size set. The back crotch point for the size 16-32 has also been extended very slightly.

Skill level:

This pattern is labelled as intermediate due to the skills required to insert a fly front zipper and add side seam pockets, however this is detailed with easy to follow instructions, so a confident advanced beginner will also find this challenging but not impossible!

A basic knowledge of how to use a sewing pattern, and basic sewing machine knowledge is needed for this pattern.

...........................................................................................

Fabric and notions:

This pattern has been designed for lightweight woven fabric with little to no stretch. We recommend using something with a nice drape such as viscose/rayon, crepe, model/tencel etc. If you’re making view A, you could also consider using chiffon or something sheer for your main fabric and use something opaque for your lining! Think carefully about the fabric you choose for this dress, as different fabrics will produce different results. Lightweight cottons and linens could also work for these, but you may end up with a more structured style than the pattern was designed for.

This pattern is not to be copied, re-sold, or passed on to any other person.

You CAN however sell the garments you make from this pattern, so long as it is only you using the pattern to sew from a small home based setting and the pattern itself is not passed onto other staff members or manufacturers to sew for you.

The pattern itself and all instruction files and photographs presented here and within the documents are for personal use only.

I wish all patterns were this easy to follow!

The pattern and written instructions are clear and easy to follow. I have never sewn a front fly before, but when I needed more detailed instructions, the YouTube video was super clear and a great help!
The finished trousers fit great (I only made minor, simple alterations while sewing) and look very professional!

Beautiful fit and clear instructions

First time sewing a fly opening and the NH pattern has made it super easy. I found the booklet really easy to follow with clear images for each step of the process.
The fit (size 10 waist) according to my measurements has been perfect and I haven’t had to alter the pattern.
I’ve only made a toile so far and think I’ll make slash pockets for the actual pair as the YouTube tutorial for this looks super easy to follow.
Thank you so much

Tash has done it again

The is an easy to follow pattern (made even better with the video tutorial for the visual learners). Easy to alter for people with multiple sizes to produce a beautifully fitting pair of trousers
