*Please note, this is a PDF pattern suitable to be printed at home or printshop and not a physical pattern*

This pattern has not yet been developed with layers, but we're working on it! You will notice this is an older style of instructions booklet too, but we're in the process of updating this too.

The tie front crop top pattern is available to be made with either a lined bodice, or without. The top features long set in sleeves and a tie fastening at the front of the top. This top can be worn on it's own, or personally, I wear it over a bandeau top!

Model: Leanne Lim Walker. Model wears: UK size 6.

This instant download includes 4 different printer sizes. These are:

US 36x48" pattern file - 1 page
A0 pattern file - 1 pages
A4 pattern files - 19 pages
A4 instructions file - 20 pages
US letter pattern files - 19 pages
US letter instruction files - 20 pages

These are labelled in the file names so you can easily choose which size you wish to print at.

This pattern is a print-at-home pattern or print at a printshop pattern and can be printed on any home printer that provides A4 printing or US Letter printing, or at any printshop that provides A0 or 36"x48" printing.

*please note, the pattern instructions are written in English only.*

Skill level:

This pattern is labelled as advanced beginner, due to the skills needed to set in sleeves. Other than the sleeves, this pattern is fairly simple! I have included detailed instructions on how to set in sleeves so if you are a beginner with some experience and want something a little more challenging, just take it slow and don't rush it, and always make a sample before the final garment!

A basic knowledge of how to use a sewing pattern, and basic sewing machine knowledge is needed for this pattern.

Please note, some files will download as .zip files. You will need to unzip the files before using. On an apple computer you can double click the zipped file, and this will open a new folder that contains the patterns.
On a windows computer you will need to right click on the .zip folder, and click "extract all".

This is a PDF file, and therefore will need to be opened in a programme that accepts pdf format. Adobe reader works well and can be downloaded online completely free for windows/mac! "Preview" also works well on Apple Mac computers.

You only need to print the files that are relevant to you.
For example, if you are a UK customer and print on an A4 sized printer, you will want to download both A4 files, but can ignore the US Letter sized files.
If you are a UK customer and want to print your pattern file at a printshop in large format, download the A0 printshop file, to print at a printshop, and then download the A4 pattern and instruction file for your instructions.

Fabric and notions:

This pattern has been designed for light-medium weight woven fabric. You could also use woven fabric with a small amount of stretch such as stretch peachskin for this top and it could also be adapted to be made in a knit fabric, but only if you are confident in sewing knit fabrics and know how to adapt the pattern instructions for this. I have only included instructions on how to make this for a woven fabric.

Fabrics that works well are viscose, cotton poplin, crepe back satin, polycotton etc.

You will need:
- Main fabric
- (If lining your bodice you will also need lining fabric, but if you are not lining it, you only need your main fabric!)

For this pattern you will need:

If making an un-lined version with a fabric width of 150cm/59":

Sizes UK 4-14 - 134cm/1.5 yards
Sizes UK 16-18 - 158cm/1.75 yards

If making an un-lined version with a fabric width of 114cm/45":

Sizes UK 4-12 - 141cm/1.6yards
Sizes UK 14-18 - 177cm/2 yards

If making a lined version you will need the same main fabric as above and you will also need the following amount of lining:

150cm/59" width lining:
All sizes will need up to 56cm/0.6 yards

114cm/45" width lining:
Sizes UK 4-12 - 55cm/0.6 yards
Sizes UK 14-18 - 83cm/0.9 yards

For example, if I am making a lined version of this top in a UK size 8 and my fabric width (lining and main) is 150cm/59" in width, I would need 134cm/1.5 yards of main fabric and 56cm/0.6 yards of lining fabric.

For any confusion, please send me a message and I will be happy to help!

Sizing:

This pattern is sized for UK sizes 4 - 18 (US sizes 0-14). Included in the PDF (and the product images) is a size chart, so you can work out your best fitting size based on the chart. Please sew based on your measurements rather than your normal store bought size.

Please note - both the US letter and A4 patterns are written in UK sizing and you should determine which size to cut based on your UK size measurements.

...........................................................................................

Extra info:

Please sew a test sample before using your final fabric, (in a similar fabric to that of your final fabric) to ensure a good fit, and to allow for any alterations needed before sewing the final garment.
